How can my customer do a self-survey using an Android device?

This article will guide you through the steps to upload self-taken pictures and videos to your Survey with an Android device.

The screenshots below may look slightly different from what you see on your own device depending on its make, model and resolution.

  • Step 1. Click the Upload button
  • Step 2. Tap on the message within the box.
  • Step 3. Record a new video, take a picture or record a voice memo to upload, or
  • Step 4. Select a picture or video you've already taken.

Step 1

On your app click the Upload button to access stage for upload.

Step 2

Tap the message that reads "click, tap, or drag media here (up to 4 GB)"

Step 3

If you would like to record a new video or take a picture, tap on either the Camera or Camcorder icon. This will open the Camera on your device.

NOTE: it is recommended that you only record videos that are about 10 minutes long.

Once you have finished recording your video, you will be asked if you want to upload it by choosing between OK or RETRY.

Tapping OK will begin the upload. Tapping RETRY will discard the current recording and reopen the Camera app.

Step 4

If you have already recorded a video you would like to upload, tap on "Documents" to locate the file on your device.

 

Navigate to the file on your device, and tap once to select it.

The upload will begin immediately. Once the upload is complete, you will be returned to the original screen so that you can upload additional files if needed.
