Connectivity issues

NOTE: In order to perform the live survey, both sides, the customer and the surveyor, must have stable Internet connection.

It would be preferable that customer was connected to their home WiFi. Customers should be connected to their best service available, which is usually WiFi. There are cases in which the WiFi signal is unstable or weak, for example in the garden or anywhere outside of their house. In that case, it would be preferable if they could use their Cell Service data, or explore the option of a self-survey.

Of course, Cell service is the other option. Whenever the customer is having WiFi issues, they should switch on their Cell service, 3G or better. If they don’t have enough data, and you need to see their garage, garden furniture, loft, access or any other area, that’s outside of the reach of wifi, remember to always suggest the option of a self-survey to your customer.

Last, but not least, there is the option of a Self-Survey, or Shyft's Upload link. Explain to the customer that you are going to send them a self-survey link. You do not need to go in-depth on the explanations, as the email/text they receive will contain not only the link but also additional instructions on how to perform a self-survey appropriately.

To help your customer upload video and pictures to the survey follow instructions for Apple devices or Android devices.
